Northwest Iowa Counseling is seeking an experienced and compassionate therapist to expand our team of clinicians. We currently serve populations from birth to older adults, including individual, group, family, and couples therapy work.  Offering self-determined scheduling with professional development assistance and retirement plan.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment
  • Assess and diagnose clients' mental health condition based on review of client information and interview
  • Conduct regular appointments with clients with a variety of presenting problems
  • Establish positive and trusting relationships with client
  • Develop and implement treatment plans
  • Complete documentation timely in EHR system
Requirements

Position Qualifications Should Include:

  • Valid license in the state of Iowa as an LMFT, LMHC, or LISW, or working towards full licensure as a LAMFT, tLMHC, or LMSW
  • Maintain professional licensure and/or certification throughout employment with this agency
  • Ability to work as a team member in a small, fun office environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and their families
  • Passion for advancing knowledge in the mental health therapy field
