WE BELIEVE WE ALL HAVE POTENTIAL.
One of Iowa's oldest and largest youth-serving nonprofit organizations, YSS provides hope and opportunity to thousands of children, youth and families through our prevention, treatment, and transition programs. By always putting kids first, We offer education to build healthy minds and bodies; counseling to overcome life’s challenges; and stability to focus on the future.

YSS is headquartered in Ames with locations across the state: YSS of Boone County, YSS of Marshall County, YSS of Hamilton County, YSS of North Iowa, and Iowa Homeless Youth Centers (IHYC). Our sites are not cookie-cutter models—instead, we tailor our services to fit the highest needs of each community. No matter where you are in Iowa, we’re here to help.

YSS employees play a vital role in helping youth find their voice, make healthy choices, and turn hopelessness into hope. You can help youth stand strong.
