Qualifications: Physically able to work in a cold environment, sit or stand for long periods of  time, work around raw meat and blood, lifting heavy packages occasionally and operating  equipment. Able to lift to 70 pounds at a time. Must be able to go up and down stairs. 

Job Summary:

Responsible for all warehouse operations. Included in this responsibility is safety, sanitation, OS&D, staffing recommendation, employee training and development, customer service, performance, and work assignments 

Requirements

Duties & Responsibilities (include but not limited to the following):

  • Develop and direct programs to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of the facility
  • Direct the operations of the warehouse Supervisor to achieve prescribed objectives.
  • Implements and direct programs to ensure the safety of all employees, equipment and property.
  • Develop Space utilization plan to maximize density and monitor plan to ensure proper compliance.
  • Verify accurate inventory control over each account.
  • Assures customers’ orders are picked and shipped in a timely fashion within prescribed cost levels.
  • Control and direct all transportation into and out of the warehouse in a safe and secure manner.
  • Develop procedures to ensure the efficient operation and utilization of all warehouse handling equipment.

 Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Thorough understanding of warehousing.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication
  • Organized and detailed orientated.
  • Adapt to change and is flexible to business needs
  • Bi-Lingual Preferred

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Supervisory experience strongly preferred
