General Job Summary:

This position is based on need as determined by the Allied Health Industry Programmer. Must evaluate and report student performance and progress in courses in accordance with College and division policies and procedures. The PRN Certified Nurse Assistant Instructor must teach the required number of hours scheduled, including classroom and clinical/simulation labs, to fulfill the course hour requirements. Classes may include days/evenings/weekend hours on various Iowa Lakes campuses. This position may also include assisting another lead instructor.

 

 Employment with Iowa Lakes Community College is dependent upon successful passage of a criminal background check. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

*      May potentially be subject to bio-hazardous waste, hazardous chemicals, fumes and odors.

*      Persons must satisfy OSHA requirements for Bloodborne Pathogens training or complete the College’s programs.

*      Comply with Iowa Administration Code Rules (59.12 (3)) regarding health exam and tuberculin test.

 Salary:  $25.00 per hour

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: 

=         Current Iowa Registered Nurse license

=         A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse

=         1 year experience in Long Term Care-strongly preferred

=         Have either completed a course in training adults, have experience teaching adults or Nurse Aides, or agree to complete this training upon hire
