Fridley Theatres is seeking part-time Line Cooks for The Palms Theatres Southpark in Spencer, IA. The Palms Theatres Southpark is undergoing a remodel that will include a limited-service kitchen and bar. The restaurant and bar will be open daily for guests attending movies in one of the 9 auditoriums upgraded to luxury recliners, plus shoppers and employees of the Southpark Mall.

 

The Line Cook position is responsible for delivering high quality and great-tasting food by following specified recipes in accordance with preparation and plating guidelines. Line cooks are essential to the operation of the kitchen by coordinating food orders to support timely and efficient delivery to each guest. Must be guest focused and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

 

Essential Functions/Job Duties :      

-Read and follow recipes to ensure consistency and maintenance of kitchen profitability.        

-Use, maintain, and clean all kitchen line equipment, preparation, and storage areas.  

-Monitor and oversee food temperatures during hot and cold handling to reduce the incidence of risk factors known to cause food borne illness.  

-Stock and rotate product on the cooking line.  

-Communicates with kitchen and management staff regarding product or service deficiencies.           

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability includes evening, weekend, and holidays. 

  • No previous kitchen experience required!
