Fridley Theatres is seeking full-time and part-time Restaurant Hourly Supervisors for The Palms Theatres Southpark in Spencer, IA. The Palms Theatres Southpark is undergoing a remodel that will include a limited-service kitchen and bar. The restaurant and bar will be open daily for guests attending movies in one of the 9 auditoriums upgraded to luxury recliners, plus shoppers and employees of the Southpark Mall.

 

The Restaurant Hourly Supervisor position will oversee the daily operations of both kitchen and bar areas, ensuring outstanding guest satisfaction, efficient workflow, and exceptional quality of menu items. This position will work closely with the management team to maintain high standards of food and beverage service while maximizing profitability.

Essential Functions/Job Duties :  

-Assist in supervising all kitchen and bar employees to maintain customer service standards, food handling guidelines, staff training, and education.      

- Enforce safety and sanitary practice and maintenance of the kitchen and bar.  Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws and ordinances.  

-Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring consistency and adherence to recipe standards.  

-Monitor and control food and beverage costs through effective portion control, inventory management, and waste reduction strategies.  

-Provide leadership and support to kitchen and bar teams, fostering a positive work culture and promoting teamwork.  

-Open and closing reports.           

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • One year of previous experience in the restaurant industry or one-year of previous supervisory experience. 
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Excellent communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for periods of up to 10 hours and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
