Iowa's Tax Free Weekend

Notes to remember when shopping this Tax Free Weekend

During this time you can avoid paying state sales tax as well as
local tax when you buy qualified clothing items.

The tax holiday encompasses clothing items priced less than $100.00 each.
If an item is more than $100.00 sales tax will be charged on the entire amount.

Iowa defines clothing as "Any article of wearing apparel and typical footwear
intended to be worn on or about the human body"  An example of this is
cowboy boots under $100.00 are tax free, fishing boots are not.

You can order items online as long as you place your order during the tax-free
holiday.
