General Job Summary:  This is a full-time, grant funded, position on the Emmetsburg Campus. Responsibilities are to assist the Upward Bound Program Manager in providing academic, career and postsecondary education advising and opportunities to grant program participants. The program’s intent is to prepare high school students for successful entry into a postsecondary educational program which will enable them to graduate from college. Evening and weekend work required. Position is contingent upon continued grant funding.

 

 Employment with Iowa Lakes Community College is dependent upon successful passage of a criminal background check. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without Employer Sponsorship.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree required in education, counseling, psychology, or related area preferred. One year experience in teaching, counseling, or related field preferred. TRIO experience or eligible background preferred. Teaching licensure and/or Masters’ Degree preferred.
